Acqua di Parma began as a small Italian fragrance house in Parma, where its iconic scent Colonia was created in 1916, originally used to perfume gentlemen’s handkerchiefs. It quickly became a symbol of refined Italian elegance, admired by Hollywood and European elites such as Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. After a period of decline, the brand was revived in the 1990s by prominent Italian figures including Diego Della Valle and Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, with the aim of preserving its heritage while expanding globally. Its acquisition by LVMH in 2003 ensured continued growth, blending tradition with modern luxury. Today, Acqua di Parma remains a respected name in perfumery, with a wide portfolio of fragrances developed in collaboration with renowned perfumers.
